Minimal Glass: A Photo Shoot
I worked with glass this week and kept a minimal approach by shooting black and white, contrasting backgrounds, and one light.
Taking these images were challenging, as exposing the image for the whites and the deep blacks I wanted, were very hard to balance. Yes, there was a little help from post processing to get the blacks…dark black. I did notice that converting the color images to black and white (although the subjects are pretty much black and white already), worked better as it seemed I had more control of that balance.
Towards the end of the shoot, of course I spilled water, so I just went with it. Usually, near the end -when I just really don’t care anymore-that’s when cool stuff happens!0
